Meet Jose Martinez
Jose first began working his trade as a young boy in Cuba in the 1970's, making and cutting patterns for shoes for one of the local footwear establishments. He quickly progressed to stitching and finishing those very same shoes.
He spent the 20 years in shoe construction as well as developing his leather working skills to include belts, wallets and hand bags and even re-upholstery of Cuba's "classic" automobile scene.
In 2004, Jose faced a tough decision to move his family to the United States in the pursuit of a better life for him and his loved ones. Since then, Jose has been providing the Portland area with the finest leather and stitch services that one can find. His attention to detail and eye for design, is something that can't be taught, only found. Jose welcomes all projects and treats them the only way he knows how....and that is to give it his very best.
